Quinta da Boavista Vinha do Oratorio 2019

A true icon from the legendary Quinta da Boavista, the Vinha do Oratório 2019 is a deeply expressive Douro red from a single, historic vineyard planted on dramatic, wavy terraces near Pinhão. Made from old vine field blends (Vinhas Velhas) with over 25 indigenous varieties, this wine delivers remarkable concentration, complexity and finesse.

In the glass it shows an intense ruby red colour with aromatic layers of ripe forest fruits, floral violet notes, sweet spices and fresh hints of bergamot and menthol. On the palate it is full‑bodied yet finely structured, with silky, generous tannins, excellent acidity and rich flavours of dark fruit, cedar and dark chocolate that unfold beautifully through a long, elegant finish.

Crafted with traditional methods — from hand harvesting and granite lagar fermentation to extended ageing in French oak — this wine expresses both the unique terroir of its ancient vines and outstanding winemaking craftsmanship.
